What is ITAD?

IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) refers to the responsible management of end-of-life IT equipment. More than just disposal, ITAD includes secure data destruction, redeployment, resale and recycling. Done properly, ITAD safeguards data, reduces environmental impact and recovers value. CiLifecycle ensures that each stage meets industry standards, data protection laws and your sustainability goals.

It is also the management of Data Security. Protecting sensitive data is important to avoid security breaches and contravening data legislation. Ci Recycling can handle all the legal requirements of data destruction or data sanitisation. Old Hardware can still hold data, even wiping or reformatting your hard drive does not completely remove data. ITAD experts can adhere to best practices and protocols for data deletion. Data destruction is an important consideration when returning leased hardware or disposing of equipment. This may be achieved with specialist data destruction software or by degaussing (electronically removing the magnetic field of a disc or hard drive

Redeployment

We help you extend the life of your IT estate by preparing viable devices for reuse within your organisation. This includes secure data erasure, reimaging and custom configuration.

Reselling IT Equipment

If your devices are no longer needed but still hold value, we handle their refurbishment and resale through specialist channels, returning a portion of the resale value to you.

Recycling

Where reuse isn’t possible, we recycle materials safely, complying with WEEE regulations.
